Cy Reed Investigates Disappearances
We’re pleased to release our tenth page of Cryptic this morning. Cryptic is our working title for Cy’s personal journals during the time period encompassed by Chaos. It focuses largely on his side investigation into a mysterious—and dangerous—group known as the Infinity. This week’s entry, “Cy Reed Investigates Disappearances,” is the second of a four-part mini-series. You can find the first part here.
Cy Reed Investigates Disappearances contains the first inside page of a flyer Cy found just outside the 51st-53rd Street station complex. Like the flyer’s front cover, it depicts characters from Captain Jellybones, a popular Internet cartoon series. An unknown person created the flyer in order to call attention to the disappearance of eight children from extremely wealthy Manhattan-based families. Cy’s notes reveal a few sporadic details about the disappearances as well as their shocking connection to events that took place in 1916.

It’s been over a month since I released Vapor, the fourth novel in the Cy Reed Adventure series. Thanks to all of you, it’s had a great debut.
